A little over a month ago A Stones Throw RV Campground had the opportunity to host the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada (RASC) 38th Annual Star Party. The Milky Way was visible from horizon to horizon thanks to neighbours, The Milo Fire Hall, and Canadian Natural all shutting off their outdoor lights for the event. Guests and Star Party visitors could not believe how dark our campground became and how bright the stars were as we are just one hour east of Calgary.
We reached out to Star Party visitors if they would share some of their astrophotography with us, so that we could share some images with you! Several people have been so kind as to share some of their images, below are the first (but not last) photos that we will be sharing with you. Thank You Clem for the Photos! Our campground is growing in numbers with more sites being reserved for the 2025 camping season! We are a private Seasonal Only RV Campground where guests enjoy the peace and quiet of the prairies.
