With the current state of affairs with international tariffs a lot of Snow Birds are selling their American get-aways, canceling their trek south and looking for a new place to park their RV this year. Budget is important people, especially when you are retired and working with a pension! Camping should be economical without annual surprises of increasing rates. Now entering our fourth season, A Stones Throw RV Campground has not increased a rate since we opened in 2022! How do we continue to charge $3,200 per season do this you ask??
We attract Good People for starters, but there is ONE thing that helps us to keep our rates where they are year after year…
Are you ready for this??
Drum Roll Please!
Skip the “Full Hook Ups” mentality, they are over rated and not necessary! Full plug and play services comes at a cost and can be abused. Every year campgrounds have to go up in price to keep up with utilities. Not us! A Stones Throw RV Campground’s business model is based on accountability. Combined 30 and 15 Amp Power Pedestals are available at each site, each pedestal is metered so… guests only pay for what they consume, not what everyone else consumes. Got solar? Your power bill can be next to nothing!
Our most consistent complement is how clean we keep our facilities. The complementary laundry room and washhouses help keep potable water out of your grey tanks. Potable water delivery and pump-out services are available upon request on a weekly basis. Just $20 for a water fill and only $25 for a pump-out which is about half the going rate. You should not be raked over the coals for base services.
If you’re considerate with your resources, A Stones Throw RV Campground is a very economical option, one that keeps you under your budget.
We are a quiet, gated camping community that is 100% seasonal and we like it that way! We conscientiously decided not to put any signs on the highway, we’re not open to weekend short stays so why wave a flag to everyone?? Having a keypad at the gate ensures our guests that they are safe and secure. An 8 foot deer fence surrounds the whole development ensuring you that kids and dogs can only run away so far. It also protects our diverse array of bushes and trees from getting eaten by deer.
When not in the garden guests enjoy regular Farmer’s Markets, Artisan events, community games and more. Walking trails around our reservoir is a haven for birders and anglers along with guests who enjoy paddle boarding, canoeing or kayaking.
A lot of guests at A Stones Throw RV Campground still have potatoes and carrots left over from last year! We provide a very large, irrigated Community Garden free of charge to grow what you want to eat and share with friends and family. You would be amazed what guests have grown, who knew there were so many different kinds of tomatoes!?!?
All RV sites at A Stones Throw RV Campground are gravelled and nearly the size of a city lot, there is no neighbouring awning rubbing up against your trailer. Guests are building decks, sheds and gazebos to make their site a home away from home. Get more use out of your RV this Canadian Summer, come out for a tour and see what makes us the economical (and Best) choice when parking your RV this year.
