Farmers’ Markets at A Stones Throw RV Campground

What is it about Farmers’ Markets that gets us so excited? Is it the fresh produce, the chance to speak with the people who grew our food, or the peace of mind that comes from knowing exactly what we are eating? Perhaps it is the desire for a local connection—knowing our food was grown just “a stone’s throw away” rather than in another country.

When we began developing A Stones Throw RV Campground, our vision was to create a hub for community commerce and local tourism. We are proud to highlight the Village of Milo, a true rural gem here in Southern Alberta.

Time flies, and we are now celebrating five years of hosting outdoor Farmers’ Markets. While our camping guests have always enjoyed these events, we are happy to open our doors to our neighbors and the wider Community. It is a great time to come out for a tour and see what we are all about, you can leave with some veggies too!

Our first Farmers’ Market is this May 16th from 10:00 till Noon. We’re happy to host Ruth and Gary of the Cluny Colony with their Beautiful Flower Baskets, Annuals, Single Source Roasted Coffee and more! New vendors are arriving this year with signs, crafts and goodies, locally baked goods, there is something for everyone.

Please join us on Long Weekends from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM to support local artisans and gardeners. We look forward to seeing you there.
