Hello March 2023!

Hello and Welcome to another Blog Post from A Stones Throw RV Campground! Since we last spoke we’ve had freezing cold and warm chinooks, blowing snow and running water. Mother Nature likes to test us as best as she can sometimes, I like to think it just helps us to better appreciate the beautiful days. Rain or shine there is work to be done and we sure have been busy this new year. January flew

Evans Cherries

Hello, We hope this finds you full of family and feasting during this festive season. Much like yourself we have endured extreme cold over the last few weeks, outdoor productivity has wained. Despite the cold conditions ranchers were still out feeding and giving extra straw bedding for their animals, chopping holes into frozen ice, keeping equipment warm and operational. We love our Alberta Beef and want to say thank you to the ranchers for all

We’re Now Open to Happy Campers!

We opened the doors to A Stones Throw RV Campground 10 days ago today on May the 1st, 2022. Over night we became a destination where families can go to make memories around a campfire. One after another twelve RV trailers rolled through the gates on our first day with more units arriving daily. Being a part of turning this wheat field into a campground over the last few years did not prepare me for what this place would

Homemade Site Signs

Like almost everything at A Stones Throw RV Campground, we made our own site signs (which was no small task with 167 unique signs). Along with everything else we also took great consideration into what we were making, we even ensured the letters and numbers were as big as road signs to ensure legibility for guests and emergency services.   Each of our eight green parks (A-H) not only have their own varieties of trees

Torqued for Camping

A father and son duo on the farm can only do so much. We’ve managed to do almost everything ourselves developing A Stones Throw RV Campground but there are certainly some trades, and some innovative businesses that have really helped us to raise the bar. As we are located only 45 minutes from High River we’ve been able to access businesses from Medicine Hat, Books, High River, Okotoks and Calgary. When the big green electrical
