I challenge you to try something simple: the next time you look out a window or step outside, find a bird and watch it for just a few seconds. It does take a few seconds but before you know it your curiosity will be peaked. After a few seconds you are going to wonder “what did I just see?”, or maybe you’ll think “well that was unexpected!?”, and more often than not seconds turn into minutes.
