Lest We Forget
I think about my grandparents everyday. Maybe it’s being on a farm, being in the same place as them remembering them work. Sometimes I think

We opened our doors in 2022 and over the last two years we have attracted mainly older families, retired folks, and couples working from home. People who genuinely appreciate the peace and quiet of the prairies. Focusing on nature awareness and rural heritage we hope to pay tribute to our pioneering family history spanning over 100 years in this area.
You may notice we’ve got a lot of pride in our rural heritage. We have introduced regular Farmers Markets and opportunities for rural entrepreneurs to show you their hard work. Our guests enjoy Private Gated Access to the campground, 10 Green Spaces, Store/Office, 2 Heated Washhouses with Showers and Flush Toilets, Free Laundry Room, Community Garden, 2 Off Leash Dog Parks, Family Bike Park, Log Jam Nature Play Area, Disc Golf, Horse Shoes along with kilometres of walking trails around our aerated 10 acre coulee reservoir stocked with rainbow trout.

A little over a month ago A Stones Throw RV Campground had the opportunity to host the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada (RASC) 38th Annual
Do you like birds? Do you know someone who likes birding? If so we have an opportunity for you to check off some Birthday /
When we decided to create A Stones Throw RV Campground we set the bar high for ourselves and in return for our guests. We knew we could make a campground and make it better, but what is better? What makes us different? For starters it is the consideration and heart that goes into everything that we do. We think about the future, what we are doing today and how it will benefit future generations. One could say we are passionate about what we are doing here.
We have room to grow for your family and friends because sites are spacious with room to put down your own roots. The roots we are planting are ambitious with over 50 species of trees and bushes to be planted with hundreds already in the ground. Eventually each of the 10 Green Spaces will have different trees and bushes so as you walk from one area to another you will be walking through different vegetative zones. It does take time for Oak and Maple trees to grow however existing guests are excited to plant a seed for their family by choosing a site and watching our campground mature around them.
If there is mowing to be done, we do the mowing, we want you to sit back and relax. We’ve planted 5 different drought tolerant grasses throughout the campground along with a thick layer of mulch to prevent weeds and evaporation. The whole campground is sustained through 17 kilometres of drip line pulling water to every RV site from our aerated 10 acre coulee reservoir stocked with Rainbow Trout.
From our family to yours, we welcome you to come see what makes A Stones Throw RV Campground a unique gem in Southern Alberta. We are located just 5 minutes from the Village of Milo, 9 minutes from Lake McGregor, just 45 minutes east of High River or only 50 minutes southeast of Strathmore!
