Brand New Opening May 2022

Now accepting deposits to secure seasonal RV sites for the 2022 camping season! Our guests currently include families young and old, retired and working from home, dog and bird lovers alike. Focusing on nature awareness and rural heritage we hope to pay tribute to our pioneering family history spanning over 100 years in this area.

You may notice we’ve got a lot of pride about our rural heritage. We will be introducing Farmers Markets and opportunities for rural entrepreneurs to show their hard work to you. We have designed for you 9 unique Green Parks, Store/Office, 2 Washhouses with Showers, Laundry Room, Community Garden, Off Leash Dog Parks for Small and All dogs, Family Bike Park, and kilometres of walking paths around our 10 acre stocked and aerated coulee reservoir.

Future development incorporates a Mini-Farm, Community Centre, Beaches and so much more! We welcome you to follow our journey, blazing a new path by creating A Stones Throw RV Campground only 9 minutes from Lake McGregor and only 5 minutes from the Village of Milo!

Maturing into a Museum of Trees

Botanical by Nature, Green Thumb at Heart

When we decided to create A Stones Throw RV Campground we set a high bar for ourselves and in return for our guests. We knew we could make a campground and make it better, but what is better? What makes us different and just so darn special? For starters its the consideration and heart that goes into everything that we do. We think about the future, what we are doing today and how it will benefit future generations. One could say we are fairly passionate about what we are doing here.

We have room to grow for your family and friends because sites are spacious with room to put down your own roots. The roots we are planting are ambitious with over 50 species to be planted in our first year with hundreds already planted. Each of the 9 Green Parks will have different trees and bushes so as you walk from one area to another you will be walking through different vegetative zones. It does take time for Oak and Maple trees to grow however existing guests are excited to plant a seed for their family by choosing a site and watching our campground mature around them.

If there is mowing to be done, we do the mowing, we want you to sit back and relax. We’ve planted 5 different drought tolerant grasses throughout the campground along with a thick layer of mulch to prevent weeds and evaporation. The whole campground is sustained through 17 kilometres of drip line pulling water from our aerated 10 acre reservoir stocked with 1,500 Rainbow Trout. We’re opening over 40 acres of natural grassland coulee with walking paths for you to enjoy under our beautiful prairie skies.

From our family to yours, we welcome you to come see what makes A Stones Throw RV Campground a unique gem in Southern Alberta. We are located just 5 minutes from the Village of Milo, 9 minutes from Lake McGregor, just 45 minutes east of High River!
